About Laurie and Check It Done

Peak Productivity Coaching and Consulting

I’m Laurie Bird, founder of Check It Done. For more than 25 years, I supported business executives in a variety of ways – from bookkeeping and office management to marketing and strategy. Then…

In 2013, my employer was forced to close her doors…

And I started Check It Done LLC

I like being an entrepreneur and previously had a successful piano teaching studio and other businesses. The 2008 Recession had pushed me back into the workforce, but I missed the flexibility of having my own business.

From my 25 years supporting executives, I’ve learned one thing: business doesn’t have to be so hard. In fact, when you have the right tools and mindset, it can be downright fun (and profitable).  So when that door closed, I felt driven to use my talents and skills to open doors helping other entrepreneurs save time and increase their profit.

As a certified Business Coach, I help women entrepreneurs create a successful business that aligns with their busy lives and I’m passionate about helping them achieve their goals. Together we work to simplify their business so they make more money, have more free time and happy clients – without overwhelm.

My Values

You should know what I stand for. I believe every individual has greater potential than we know.  I seek to inspire that potential and empower achievement.

Integrity

I grew up on a farm where my parents deeply instilled in me the values of honesty and work. I perform all my work with integrity and communicate honestly with my clients.

Divine Value

Regardless of whether your are a client or not, I esteem each individual as having infinite, divine value with high potential and I work to help you discover that for yourself.

Confidentiality

I’ve worked in many environments and with many documents that require confidentiality.  Clients trust me to keep their information confidential and I always do so.

Commitment

When we agree to work together, my clients understand that I am committed to delivering the coaching and services agreed to.  I also hold them accountable to do their part that leads to their success.

More Tidbits

On a personal note, I love spending time with family, especially my daughter.  I enjoy playing the piano, dancing (especially ballroom dancing), camping and fishing. I read voraciously and sometimes crochet or paint.

My cat, Samson, adopted me about 8 years ago – and, in spite of my allergies, decided I was worth keeping.

Growing up on a farm gave me some great skills, although keeping plants alive doesn’t seem to be one of them. But that doesn’t stop me from trying!
